Convert PNG to JPG — Free & 100% Private
Turn heavy PNG screenshots and graphics into compact, universally-supported JPG files right in your browser.
Drop files or click to upload
Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, PDF, and more. Paste (Ctrl+V) works too.
How Our Privacy Engine Works
When you drop an image onto VisualConvert, our code runs entirely inside your device's web browser using modern web standards (Canvas API & WebAssembly). Unlike traditional converters that upload your photos to remote servers, process them there, and send them back, VisualConvert processes everything locally in your computer's memory. You can verify this anytime: open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), switch to the Network tab, and drop a file — you will see zero upload requests!
About converting PNG to JPG
PNG is a lossless format that keeps every pixel perfect — which is exactly why PNG files are often several times larger than they need to be for photos and screenshots. Converting PNG to JPG applies smart lossy compression that dramatically reduces file size while keeping the image visually identical to the eye.
VisualConvert does this entirely inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas engine. Your PNG never touches a server, so the conversion is instant, private, and works even offline once the page has loaded. Transparent areas are flattened onto a clean white background, exactly the way JPG requires.

PNG to JPG — Frequently Asked Questions
Will converting PNG to JPG reduce quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, so there is some quality trade-off, but at the default 85% quality the difference is invisible for most photos and screenshots. You can raise the quality slider for near-perfect results.
What happens to PNG transparency?
JPG does not support transparency, so any transparent pixels are filled with a white background during conversion. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP instead.
Is there a file size or batch limit?
Free users can convert up to 5 files per batch at up to 25 MB each. Pro unlocks 50 files per batch and 100 MB per file.
