How Our Privacy Engine Works
When you drop an image onto VisualConvert, our code runs entirely inside your device's web browser using modern web standards (Canvas API & WebAssembly). Unlike traditional converters that upload your photos to remote servers, process them there, and send them back, VisualConvert processes everything locally in your computer's memory. You can verify this anytime: open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), switch to the Network tab, and drop a file — you will see zero upload requests!
Search for an image converter and almost every result asks you to upload your file first. That single step hands your photo to a company’s servers, often in another country, sometimes under terms that let them store or reuse it. An image converter with no upload removes that risk entirely: the file is read and converted inside your browser, and nothing is ever sent over the network.
VisualConvert was built specifically so there is no upload to make. When you drop an image in, your browser opens it locally, converts it with the Canvas API and WebAssembly, and hands back the result — all on your device. There is no “uploading… 43%” bar, because there is nothing to upload, and nothing for us to receive, keep, or leak.
No upload, by design — not by policy
Many tools promise to “delete your files after an hour.” That is a policy you have to trust. No-upload conversion is an architecture you can verify: because the file is never transmitted, there is no copy on any server to delete in the first place. The guarantee is structural, not a pinky promise.
Why it matters for sensitive images
Passport and ID scans, medical images, legal documents, unreleased designs and personal photos should not be handed to a random web service. With no upload, those files never travel — the safest possible outcome. It is also the reason the tool needs no account: there is no data to tie to you.
How to confirm nothing is uploaded
Open DevTools (F12) → Network tab → convert a file. You will see the app load, then silence while your image converts. No request carries your file out. If you disconnect from the internet, the conversion still works — final proof that no upload ever happens.
